All About Capitol Anesthesiology Association

Capitol Anesthesiology Association (CAA) was established in 1973. The have over 80 physicians and 130 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists who have a deep commitment to offering the highest quality care to their patients. CAA offers care to patients at more than 20 medical facilities throughout Austin.

CAA ensures that its physicians are American Board of Anesthesiology certified or are actively seeking that certification. Many of CAA’s doctors have further specialities that include: obstetrics, pediatrics, and cardiology.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) are a critical component to patient care. They help the anesthesiologist ensure that the patient is taken care of and comfortable throughout the process. The Anesthesiologist, CRNA, registered nurse, and anesthesia technicians work together, as a team and in unison, to ensure the best patient care.

Capitol Anesthesiology Association’s team of administrative staff work with numerous insurances to create a seamless billing process. The last thing that a patient needs to worry about when having to go through a surgical procedure, is insurance and whether or not those things are being taken care of. The administrative staff gets in contact with the patient before and after surgery to ensure their questions are answered and their insurance needs are met.

CAA holds its membership to the Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI) in high regard. Together, with AQI, Capitol Anesthesiology Association is on a mission to continually improve anesthesia practices; they do this by educating their team members and by various data reporting methods. CAA’s membership to AQI ensures that they hold the gold standard in patient care and allows them to help other practices throughout Austin to improve their patient care.
