Bruno Fagali: Leading the Fight against Corruption in Brazil

Bruno Fagali is dedicated to transparency within the Brazilian corporate sector. This has seen the multitalented and multilingual attorney take several short courses in various areas of law in a bid to fully grasp the manifestation of the vice and how to fight it. He has trained on parliamentary electoral law, administrative law and gifting and compliance. He has also participated in various events and seminars focusing on procurement procedures especially within the public sector, Brazilian law regulatory agencies and leniency and cooperation.

Bruno Fagali’s commitment and passion to ethical practices within the Brazilian public and Brazilian corporate sector have been recognized with a professional appointment and an award. In 2016, the Brazilian ministry of Transparency, Inspection and Comptroller General of the Union in collaboration with Ethos Institute bestowed on him the Pro-Ethics Award. In 2015, Bruno Fagali appointed as the manager of the newly formed Corporate Integrity Program (CIP). The organization is tasked with ensuring that ethical standards are followed during the tendering processes within the Brazilian corporate sector especially in their dealings with the government.

Academic and Career Background

Bruno Fagali has a solid academic background primarily in law. After studying at College Bandeirantes between 2000 and 2002, he furthered his studies with a degree in Law at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. He rejoined the university a year later after his first graduation in 2010 to specialize in administrative law. While studying at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Bruno Fagali also enrolled at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) where he graduated with a degree in Administrative Law in 2012. After graduating in 2012, he joined the University of São Paulo in 2015 where he is currently studying for his Master’s degree in State Law.

Multilingual Law Practice

Bruno Fagali’s multilingual skills, solid academic background and a solid commitment to ethical practice have seen him develop a strong career in the Brazilian law industry. He currently works at Fagali Law Firm, which he founded in 2014. He is actively involved in all aspects of the firm’s operations including case preparations and training of partners. He also doubles up as a lecturer at University of Sao Paulo in addition to his roles at CIP. Bruno Fagali previously worked in several law practices including Tojal, Teixeira Ferreira, Serrano & Renault Associates.
