Get Motivated and Get That Summer Body


Though most of the country is in the middle of winter, now is the time to start preparing for the warm summer months and the changes in clothing that come with them. Starting now, there are a few simple things that can be done to change winter eating habits and begin to shed those extra pounds in time for pool and beach season.


  • Drink more water. Though it may seem like common sense, even replacing a few cans of soda or glasses of juice per week with water will be enough to cut some excess calories. Sergio Cortes says over time this will lead to weight loss, especially if an individual is used to drinking liquids that contain a lot of sugar.


  • Start doing simple workouts. These can be done in many places, including at work and at home. Even 10 minutes a day can make an impact over time.


  • Alter your diet. This doesn’t mean completely cutting out favorite foods, but practicing moderation is necessary in order to promote better overall health and wellness.


Deciding to look better is about more than just imagining change, it is all about acting on the impulses. Your body cannot change without your help, so sticking to decisions and committing to change is absolutely necessary every step of the way. In many cases, people that make changes are often so pleased with the results that they stick with them long after pool season has come and gone, meaning that their bodies are healthier in the long run, and this allows for more confidence and raised self esteem.
