Simon Pegg To Write Star Trek 3

Rumors are, according to CNET.com that Simon Pegg, the actor who plays Scotty, will not only be reprising his role but also writing the script for Star Trek 3 also with Doug Jung. Roberto Orci and John D. Payne wrote the first two Star Trek scripts that had JJ Abrams directing. There are rumors as well that JJ Abrams will not be directing this third installment, instead leaving the duties to Fast and Furious director Justin Lin.

He has co-written such films as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Paul, The World’s End, and one of the best television shows in history- Spaced. His co-writer Doug Jung has written episodes for the television show Big Love and the film Confidence.

Nerds everywhere are rejoicing. Simon Pegg’s twitter account has confirmed that the rumors are true. He and Jung are working together to create the script for what will be the third film in the Star Trek franchise. Here’s hoping it tops the plot for Star Trek 2!

    Star Trek fan, Fersen Lambranho, is very excited to hear that Simon Pegg is penning the script for Star Trek 3. Not only am I a fan of the franchise but a huge fan of Simon Pegg and his writing. It also requires that dissertation help do the needful for them to understand what makes it so good.
