Students of Success Academy are referred to as scholars and arrive at the school in uniform. The students also spend a long time in school than students in other schools. As a result, the students have one-third extra time for instructions than students in district schools. The classrooms bear the names of their teachers’ alma mater. Discipline is highly encouraged, and high expectation is put on the students.

Eva Moskowitz also believes that doing is very important in learning. Consequently, instructors spend only 80 minutes on giving direct instructions. The teachers work hard to ensure that no time goes to waste. The students are encouraged to take part in group activities. The students are given room to think making the learning engaging, fun, deep, and lasting. The school’s curriculum connects the children to the real world.
